Job summary

Prime Appointments on behalf of a client in the Debenham area is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator. This full-time role runs Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary from £29,500 per annum, depending on experience.

You will manage customer enquiries, prepare packing lists and shipping documentation, obtain freight quotations, liaise with customers and freight forwarders, and produce weekly reports while supporting the wider logistics team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a logistics or shipping coordination role, ideally with export experience.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
• GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade 4 (C) or above.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shared and personal inboxes, responding to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Prepare packing lists, commercial invoices and shipping documentation for customers and freight forwarders.
• Obtain freight quotations and arrange collections for export shipments.
• Liaise with customers, freight forwarders and internal teams regarding deliveries, queries and shipment updates.
• Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally.
• Produce weekly customer reports and maintain accurate logistics records.
• Coordinate container collections and provide support to the wider Logistics team as required.
