Job summary

Alliance Healthcare, a Cencora company, seeks a Head of Central Logistics Centre in Birmingham to lead a highly automated warehouse operation. You will drive strategic vision, operational excellence, and a safety-focused culture across a 24/7 site, coordinating with IT, engineering and commercial teams.

Ideal candidates will have senior leadership experience in automated warehouses, strong data-driven decision making, and knowledge of GDP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse operations management in a senior leadership role.
Experience with automated warehouse environments and robotics.
Knowledge of GDP, MHRA, Home Office standards.
Experience with stakeholder management including unions and regulators.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Central Logistics Centre.
Lead the development and optimisation of automated warehouse systems and robotics.
Oversee receipt, storage, picking, returns and recall processes.
Drive continuous improvement using data, KPIs and performance metrics.
Manage workforce planning, training and engagement across the site.
Ensure regulatory and quality compliance; lead audits and corrective actions.
