Job description

A Bit About Us

We're Doccla, the virtual ward company. We provide patients and clinicians with the transformative power of remote patient monitoring.

Our existing customers include hospitals, community services, and NHS commissioners. We partner with them to deliver tech-enabled virtual wards. Our technology, logistics, and support enable patients to be discharged from hospital to recover at home. Patients appreciate our care pathways, and health services benefit from increased efficiency—it's a win-win.

Doccla is a growing health tech startup. We have secured a £35 million Series B funding round, led by European VC Lakestar, with new investors French VC Elaia, and existing investors including General Catalyst, Speedinvest, and the investment arm of German media company Bertelsmann. We are solving real problems for patients and health systems and are growing rapidly. We seek dedicated people passionate about healthcare challenges.

This is an opportunity to join us at a key growth stage. Our ambition is to be a category leader in virtual healthcare. You will join a highly entrepreneurial team comprising technical, clinical, operational, and commercial colleagues.

What you'll do:
  1. Process, pack, and dispatch medical devices and kits for remote patient monitoring, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveries to NHS hospitals, community care settings, and patients’ homes.
  2. Assist with inventory tracking and stock management of medical and technical equipment, updating records and monitoring supply levels to support continuous operations.
  3. Book and coordinate courier collections and deliveries, working closely with logistics partners to guarantee fast, reliable service and resolve logistical queries.
  4. Handle incoming returns, assess equipment condition, and support refurbishment or recycling processes following protocols.
  5. Communicate with clinical and internal teams to coordinate urgent dispatches or resolve delivery challenges professionally and empathetically.
  6. Contribute to process improvements and documentation to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance throughout the logistics chain.
Requirements

What experience you will bring to the team:

  1. Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, supply chain, or operations environments (healthcare or medical logistics experience is desirable but not essential).
  2. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail—accurate labeling, stock control, and data entry for inventory systems.
  3. Comfortable working with technology (laptops, handheld devices, databases); good digital literacy is essential.
  4. Professional communication skills—able to collaborate clearly, helpfully, and inclusively with colleagues, patients, and partners.
  5. A proactive problem-solving approach with a positive attitude and ownership mindset in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Physical ability to perform some lifting and manual handling (reasonable adjustments will be provided if needed).
Additional Information – Logistics Assistant
