Job summary

Global Corporate Logistics Limited in the Manchester area is seeking a part-time Logistics Administrator (Junior) Apprentice on-site to support day-to-day operations. You will help prepare shipping documents, book air, sea, road, and courier shipments, and keep systems updated with tracking information.

This training-focused role offers exposure to carriers, customers, and internal teams, with involvement in customs checks and compliance, records management, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with clear written and verbal skills.
• Customer service focus and positive client relationships.
• Foundational supply chain management knowledge: inventory flows, transport modes.
• Intro to export and logistics management, shipping docs and regulatory basics.
• Good organisational and time-management skills; attention to detail; proficiency with standard office software.
• Willingness to learn; apprenticeship training possible.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day logistics operations.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation.
• Assist with bookings for air, sea, road and courier shipments.
• Update internal systems with shipment and tracking data.
• Coordinate with carriers, customers and internal teams.
• Monitor delivery timelines and flag delays or issues.
• Assist with customs documentation and compliance checks.
• Maintain organized records and respond to inquiries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
