Job summary

Elliot Marsh is seeking a Logistics Accounts Coordinator in Llanharan to act as the primary contact for key customers and coordinate freight forwarding. You will manage multiple accounts, arrange bookings, provide quotes, and ensure timely shipments while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in similar role.
• GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Own transport or means to travel to site.

Responsibilities

• Provide service information, quotations and take bookings while prioritising customer needs.
• Receive and process enquiries with accurate information for booking and shipment processing.
• Manage road and sea forwarding shipments and monitor account balances and credit.
• Follow up quotations and communications to secure business and develop opportunities with Sales.
• Track order progress and keep customers informed of shipment status.

Salary: £23,000 to £25,000 per annum

Logistics Accounts Coordinator - The Role:

As Logistics Accounts Coordinator, you will be the nominated point of contact for some of the company's largest and most valued customers. You will manage their freight forwarding needs, handling multiple major accounts with the highest levels of attention to detail. Your focus will be on providing excellent shipping and transport expertise, building lasting relationships, understanding customer requirements, and promoting the company's full range of services to generate and retain business.

Logistics Accounts Coordinator - Key Responsibilities:

• Provide service information, quotations and take bookings, championing customer needs at all times
• Receive and process incoming enquiries accurately, collecting all necessary information to ensure correct booking and timely shipment processing
• Handle road and sea forwarding shipments while protecting the company by monitoring credit ratings and outstanding account balances
• Follow up quotations and correspondence with customers to secure business and develop new opportunities alongside Sales Executives
• Manage customer order progress enquiries efficiently, keeping customers informed of shipment status at all times
• Demonstrate knowledge of customs regulations, dangerous goods and insurance requirements, liaising with customs staff as needed
• Collate and process claims information promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate documentation, records and systems, preparing management reports as required

Logistics Accounts Coordinator - You:

• 2 years experience in similar role
• Comfortable working across the Microsoft suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Teams
• A fast learner with new systems and generally computer literate
• Able to work from the Manchester site full time, ideally with your own transport
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Minimum 5 GCSE’s with A-C grade (Incl Maths and English)
• Calm under pressure, able to prioritise a busy workload and see it through
• Confident multi-tasking, with experience of this in a similar role
• Comfortable taking ownership of decisions and working independently within agreed boundaries
• A genuine team player with a can-do attitude
• Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs regulations and shipping procedures, or willingness to develop these
