Job summary

Brasenose College, University of Oxford is seeking a Casual Lodge Receptionist (Porter) to join the Casual Workers department on a fixed-term, part-time basis. The role provides a friendly, professional welcome to guests and visitors, supports safety and security, and handles day-to-day lodge duties.

Responsibilities include customer service, answering calls, assisting with luggage, maintaining a tidy reception, and working flexibly across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in hospitality or a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, friendly welcome to guests and visitors.
• Answer main switchboard calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy Lodge area and assist with luggage and parcels.
• Support safety and security procedures and report incidents.
• Ensure effective handovers between shifts and communicate information clearly.
