Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon to join the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust with Broomfield Hospital as the base site. The post supports service expansion across three sites and requires a strong interest in education and teaching within the department.

You will provide outpatient urology services, perform elective and emergency operations, and participate in MDT clinics.

Responsabilidades

• To provide outpatient urology clinic services; this may include minor procedures
• To perform independent elective and emergency operating including day case surgery
• To undertake speciality clinics and participate as a core member in Urology MDTs.
• Any responsibility which relates to a special interest;
• Professional supervision and management of junior medical staff including the observance of local employment and human resource policies and procedures;
• To provide consultant level Urology on call duties (1 in 11). This will include on site daytime cover and post take ward round, and to contribute to the pelvic urology on call rota.
