Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon preferably with special interest in functional and reconstructive urology on the QE site. The Urology department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital includes 13 consultants, 1 clinical scientist and a Cancer and Benign Nursing Team with middle grade and junior doctor support.

The successful applicant will join a team of consultants providing subspecialist services in male and female

Qualifications

• FRCS Urol or equivalent is required.
• CCT in urology or equivalent is required.
• GMC registration specialist register or eligible within 6 months is required.
• Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Functional Urology service at UHB (Based at the QE with an operating list at Solihull).
• Work as part of a larger Urology Team including Cancer and Benign Subspecialities.
• Ideally have post-CCT level experience in functional and reconstructive urology.
• Participate in regular outpatient and diagnostic clinics.

Education

FRCS Urol or equivalent

CCT in urology or equivalent

GMC registration specialist register or eligible within 6 months
