Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics Upper Limb Surgery to provide elective cover at Alexandra Hospital Redditch. The post involves regular upper limb operating lists and participation in a 1:4 ambulatory trauma rota for the Kidderminster site.

The successful candidate will contribute to the trauma rota, engage in MDT discussions, and support GP surgeries and health centres with potential revised job plans.

Qualifications

• Clinical training and experience equivalent to UK CCT in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
• Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems, emergency and elective.
• Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical service in the relevant specialty to patients of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and GPs.
• Attend MDT meetings and work within multi-disciplinary teams across three sites.
• Support A&E and acute medicine to ensure timely patient flow and care.
