Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited in Torbay is seeking a Social Worker to join the Assessment & Intervention Team on a full-time locum contract up to 3 months. The role offers an hourly rate up to £42 depending on experience, with a mix of office and remote working and a requirement to travel across Torbay as needed.

You will conduct high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families, manage a caseload of 20–24 cases, and participate in a duty rota.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families, ensuring timely progress.
• Work within a caseload of 20-24 cases, including a mix of Child in Need, Child Protection, and other assessments.
• Respond promptly to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries, utilising your problem-solving skills.
• Be present in the office up to three days a week and full-time during duty weeks to collaborate effectively with the team.
• Travel across Torbay and occasionally beyond to visit children as required.
• Participate in a duty rota, providing support and guidance on a rotation every three weeks.
