Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a Social Worker for the Assessment & Intervention Team in Torbay. This locum role is full-time for up to three months, offering flexible office and remote working arrangements and a competitive hourly rate up to £42, depending on experience.

You will conduct high‑quality assessments and interventions for children and families, manage a caseload of around 20–24 cases, respond to crises and Section 47 inquiries, and participate in a duty rota every three

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families, ensuring timely progress.
• Work within a caseload of 20-24 cases, including a mix of Child in Need, Child Protection, and other assessments.
• Respond promptly to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries, utilising your problem-solving skills.
• Be present in the office up to three days a week and full-time during duty weeks to collaborate effectively with the team.
• Travel across Torbay and occasionally beyond to visit children as required.
• Participate in a duty rota, providing support and guidance on a rotation every three weeks.
