Job summary

LR Legal Recruitment seeks a skilled Locum Private Client Solicitor for Essex assignments. You'll handle private client matters on a short- to medium-term basis, with flexibility across on-site, hybrid or remote roles.

You will manage Wills, probate, LPAs, trusts, and Court of Protection work, supported by teams but expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Competitive hourly rate and weekly pay offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' PQE in Private Client essential.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• STEP qualification desirable but not essential.

Private Client Solicitor - Locum

Location: Essex (office-based, hybrid or remote depending on the firm)

Rate: Competitive hourly rate

We are working with a number of reputable firms across Essex seeking experienced Locum Private Client Solicitors to support their teams on a short- to medium-term basis.

The Role

As a Locum Solicitor, you will hit the ground running with a broad caseload of private client matters, including:

• Drafting and advising on Wills
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• Trusts and inheritance tax planning
• Court of Protection work

You'll be supported by friendly teams and competent support staff, though you'll be expected to work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• 3+ years' PQE in Private Client (strong experience essential)
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently
• STEP qualification is desirable but not essential
• Familiarity with case management systems
