Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Haslemere. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care through chronic disease reviews, immunisations, wound care, and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

Ideal candidates will have NMC registration, primary care experience, and be confident in chronic disease management. Regular or ad-hoc sessions with morning and afternoon availability are offered, with long-term ongoing bookings possible.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Immunisation training and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsabilités

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
