Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in March. The role suits a nurse with strong assessment skills who can deliver chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows and supportive nursing leadership guiding daily clinic delivery.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
