Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Kettering. The role involves delivering chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine clinic duties within a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows and supportive nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room work.
• Familiarity with EMIS/SystmOne/ Vision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system
