Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a Locum Practice Nurse to work with a GP practice in Worksop. The successful candidate will perform chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations (training preferred) and routine clinic duties in a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, health checks and treatment room activity, with regular or ad-hoc sessions and long-term bookings available.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with primary care experience.
• Up-to-date immunisation training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Performing wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carrying out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
