Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work at a GP practice in Doncaster. The role suits a nurse with strong assessment skills who can deliver chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment-room work.
• Strong patient communication and clinical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
