Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse for a GP practice in Pontyclun. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

You'll contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work, and treatment room activity, with supportive nursing leadership and clear daily clinic delivery.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
