Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Torquay. The role focuses on clinical reviews, wound care, vaccination administration and routine clinic sessions within a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through chronic disease management, preventive health work and accurate documentation in the clinical system. Regular morning and afternoon slots are available with long-term bookings offered.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake cytology screening tests (if trained).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.

Key Responsibilities
