Locum Ready is seeking a Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Lancing. The post is suitable for an experienced NMC-registered nurse who can deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care and routine clinics in a primary care setting.

You will contribute to patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and efficient treatment room duties, with regular or ad-hoc sessions and long‑term bookings available.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carrying out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
