Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Diss. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care environment.

You will deliver high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and efficient documentation. Flexible sessions, morning/afternoon slots, and long-term bookings are offered, with NHS standards and supportive nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Strong patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiar with EMIS/SystmOne/Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through a balance of clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity. The practice offers well-organised workflows, supportive nursing leadership and a clear structure for daily clinic delivery.

Key Responsibilities
