Job Title: Pharmacist - Band 8a
Location: Manchester
Duration: 3-6 months (with strong potential to extend)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £32-£35 per hour
What You'll Be Doing: Join our team as a Band 8a Pharmacist and play a key role in improving patient outcomes across inpatient wards and dispensary services. In this role, you will:
perform clinical reviews and medication reconciliations on wards
provide pharmaceutical advice to clinical teams
support safe and effective medication use in hospital settings
assist in the day-to-day running of the dispensary
maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:
a current and valid GPhC registration
hospital pharmacy experience (including wards and dispensary)
strong communication and interpersonal skills
the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Working Hours & Contract Duration: This full-time NHS hospital position runs Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break. The contract is for 3-6 months with a strong likelihood of extension based on service needs.
