Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is seeking a Locum Consultant in Plastic & Craniofacial Surgery to deliver a craniofacial surgical service within a multidisciplinary team. The post is 8 PA, part-time, on a 1-year fixed-term contract, with duties including clinics and operating sessions for paediatric patients and active involvement in teaching and service development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Craniofacial & Plastic Surgery.
• Experience teaching students and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience leading Clinical Audit processes.
• Published research in peer reviewed journals in relevant area.
• Awareness of Clinical Governance through quality or safety improvement projects.
• Experience recruiting patients to clinical research trials.
• Experience working in shared care clinics and clinical networks.
• Experience in clinical leadership or management.

Responsibilities

• Provide a plastic surgical service at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.
• Deliver a craniofacial service within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Lead clinics and operating sessions for paediatric plastic surgery patients.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
