Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital is seeking an 8 PA Plastic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Craniofacial surgery. You will join a team of Plastic and Craniofacial surgeons to deliver a dedicated craniofacial surgical service for children and adolescents.

The role requires extensive paediatric/plastic surgical experience, with consultant-level background and an interest in clinical management and service development.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with a Licence to Practice by the start date.
• FRCS (PLAS) or equivalent required.
• CCT/CCST in Plastic Surgery (or within 6 months at interview) or CESR eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide a plastic surgical service at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.
• Deliver a craniofacial service within a multidisciplinary team.
• Undertake clinics and operating sessions for paediatric patients on waiting lists.
• Lead on undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide excellent patient care.
• Co-lead on development of the physician’s associate programme and governance.
