Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry to provide consultant-led care for paediatric patients, including those needing GA/Sedation, and to manage waiting lists within a Trust setting.

The post involves teaching and supervising junior staff, participating in MDT planning, and contributing to clinical governance, audits, RTT delivery and service development across the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide a consultant-led specialist oral healthcare service for Paediatric Dentistry.
• Manage waiting lists for patients requiring oral rehabilitation under general anaesthesia.
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team pre- and post-operatively.
• Supervise and train junior staff and contribute to postgraduate teaching.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits and service development.
• Support RTT targets and ensure patient pathways comply with NHS requirements.
