Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Obstetrics to join the team at Lister Hospital, Stevenage. The post is 12 months fixed-term, full-time (10 sessions per week), with a strong emphasis on obstetric and general anaesthesia service provision.

The successful candidate will work with current consultants, supporting training and education of trainees, and will need to demonstrate leadership in patient safety and audit

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice.
• FRCA or equivalent level of higher anesthesia training.
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register or eligibility within 6 months of CCT at interview.

Responsibilities

• Flexible in patterns; theatre work on any site when required.
• Support training and education of trainees and staff.
• Lead on patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
