Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts invites applications for a Locum Consultant Luminal Gastroenterologist to join a large gastroenterology team at QMC and Nottingham City Hospital sites.

The post offers opportunities to develop a subspecialist interest, contribute to inpatient and outpatient services, and participate in on-call duties (1:18) with dedicated support and flexible job planning.

Qualifications

• Registered with GMC and holds full licence to practice.
• Eligibility for entry on GMC specialist register via CCT or CESR.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience teaching and supervising medical students and junior trainees.
• Experience in audits and presenting findings.
• Higher teaching or research qualification.
• Completion of recognised subspecialty training in gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient luminal gastroenterology services in clinics and endoscopy.
• Contribute to the acute gastroenterology on‑call service (currently 1:18).
• Weekday daytime cover at City Hospital (3 weeks per annum).
• Inpatient care of luminal gastroenterology patients at QMC for 12 weeks a year in 2 week blocks.
