Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a radiologist to deliver a diagnostic and interventional radiology service of high quality. You will contribute to imaging service development and support across sessions including ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging.

The role involves flexible collaboration to manage emergencies and inpatients, on-call duties, MDT participation, and ongoing audit and research to maintain high standards and improve patient care across the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a diagnostic and interventional radiology service of high quality.
• Contribute to development of the imaging service to provide high quality diagnostic support throughout the week.
• Include sessions in ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging.
• Work flexibly with colleagues to support the timely management of emergencies and inpatients.
• Undertake an appropriate share of the on-call rota for diagnostic radiology.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary clinical meetings (MDT).
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical protocols.
• Ensure that standards are maintained and developed through clinical audit, evidence-based research and appraisal.
