Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer – Hybrid Working – Up to £50 per Hour Umbrella – Midlands

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to join an excellent Local Authority in the Midlands.

This assignment will initially last for 3 months, with a strong likelihood of extension. The role is full-time with hybrid working, requiring attendance at court 2-3 times a week in the Midlands area. IT equipment will be provided on the first day.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority or Private Practice, with extensive experience in Housing Litigation within Housing Management. This role is suitable for candidates seeking to gain or further their experience in the Local Authority sector and who are based in the Midlands.

Responsibilities include:

1. Undertaking all aspects of legal work related to Housing Management, including housing possessions, rent possession, anti-social behaviour, injunctions, and unlawful occupiers.
2. Advising on risk management concerning complex and contentious legal issues.
3. Representing the Council in court and conducting advocacy where appropriate (2-3 times a week).

An attractive hourly rate of up to £50 per hour (Umbrella) is offered, depending on experience.

This position is ideal for those looking to gain experience working in the Public Sector. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
