A Midlands based Local Authority is seeking a Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer for a part-time role lasting 3 months with a possibility of extension. The position allows predominantly remote working with occasional court attendance, offering an hourly rate of up to £55. Ideal candidates should possess prior experience in Local Authorities and knowledge of housing litigation matters, including anti-social behaviour and possessions.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Litigation.
• Prepare and manage a varied caseload in relation to Housing Management.
• Liaise with legal representatives and provide guidance to staff.

Position:Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer

Organisation:Midlands based Local Authority

Duration:3 months + strong likelihood of extension agreed thereafter

Working Pattern:Part-time, 3 days a week

Working Arrangement:Predominantly Remote Working, to attend Court when required 1-2 times a week

Hourly Rate:Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within aLocal Authorityand can demonstrate knowledge ofHousing Litigationmatters, with a focus onAnti-Social BehaviourandPossessions.

Duties may include:

• Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Litigation includinghousing possessions, ASB, injunctions, and tenancy breaches
• Liaise and work collaboratively with other legal representatives as well as providing guidance to other staff
• To prepare and manage a varied caseload in relation to Housing Management and support case preparation for court
