Pulse Staffing Limited is seeking a Band 3 Biomedical Support Worker to join a well-established NHS laboratory in South Wales. The role involves supporting laboratory operations, specimen handling, and assisting Biomedical Scientists to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.

• Previous experience in a laboratory, pathology, healthcare or scientific support environment is desirable.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately and consistently.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Understanding of laboratory health and safety practices advantageous.
• Flexible and proactive approach in a busy laboratory setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with duties within the dissection room, supporting specimen handling and preparation processes
• Undertake background laboratory tasks to support Biomedical Scientists and the wider pathology team
• File, archive, and retrieve microscope slides accurately and efficiently
• Assist with specimen reception, storage, and movement throughout the laboratory where required
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organisation in accordance with departmental procedures
• Ensure compliance with laboratory health and safety policies and quality standards
• Carry out general administrative and support duties to help maintain an efficient service
