Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support a GP practice in Farnham. The role focuses on assisting the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activities.

Ideal candidates have prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS, with phlebotomy desirable and DBS clearance required. You will contribute to smooth session operations and high-quality patient care within an organised primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
