Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Health Care Assistant to support a GP practice in Erith. This role focuses on assisting the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activities.

You will contribute to high-quality care delivery within an organised primary care environment, aiding with patient flow and essential clinical duties while sessions can be ad-hoc or regular.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
