Job summary

ProfDoc is seeking a Sessional General Practitioner to provide two weekly sessions in Buxton. The role involves caring for diverse patients with needs including chronic conditions, mental health concerns and substance misuse.

The position offers regular, predictable weekly work with a part-time locum engagement through ProfDoc. You will benefit from a dedicated recruitment consultant, onboarding guidance, and opportunities for further locum assignments.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
• Experience with patients who have a history of substance misuse.
• Willingness to complete Substance Misuse Parts 1 and 2 qualifications if not held.

Responsibilities

• Conducting face to face primary care consultations.

• Monitoring patients with chronic and complex conditions.
• Prescribing and reviewing medication appropriately.
