Job summary

Menlo Park Adult Social Care is seeking a Locum GP to support a well-established practice in Bury St Edmunds, with ad-hoc dates available in September and October and potential for ongoing bookings beyond these dates.

You will join a friendly, multi-disciplinary team and work 8:30am–6:00pm, with some duty GP days until 6:30pm. Use of Anima for triage and about 28 appointments per day are typical. GMC registration and UK Performers List eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• GMC registration is mandatory for the role.
• Eligibility for the UK Performers List is required.
• Locum GP with availability for ad-hoc sessions in September and October.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP cover as a locum, ad-hoc sessions in Sep/Oct.
• Regular ongoing locum requirement beyond these dates.
• Work from 08:30 to 18:00 with duty GP days until 18:30.
• Utilise Anima for patient triage and oversee 28 appointments per day.
• Conduct 15-minute face-to-face or 10-minute telephone consultations; rare home visits; perform med reviews and urgent bloods.

Background –

We have an excellent opportunity for a Locum GP to support a well-established practice in Bury St Edmunds, with ad-hoc dates available in September and October. Beyond September and October, the practice has a regular, ongoing requirement for locum cover, so there is genuine scope for consistent, repeat bookings if it’s a good fit on both sides. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team including GPs, ACPs, Nurses, Paramedics and Clinical Pharmacists.

Salary –

£700–£725 per day

Your role –

• Locum GP
• Ad-hoc sessions available throughout September and October
• Regular, ongoing locum requirement beyond these dates
• 8:30am – 6:00pm
• Duty GP days also required (duty until 6:30pm)
• Use of Anima for patient triage
• 28 appointments per day
• 15-minute F2F / 10-minute telephone appointments
• Occasional home visits (rare)
• Self-generated admin, plus med reviews, urgent bloods and messages
• Must be GMC registered and on the UK Performers List
