Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional clinic sessions across Uttoxter. This role offers structured treatment room and clinical review work within well-supported GP environments, giving you autonomy and consistency in routine primary care nursing activity.

You will support local clinical teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures, with clear protocols to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Confident working independently within GP settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans.
• Administer adult and childhood immunisations (if trained).
• Perform smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conduct NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintain accurate digital clinical notes.
• Support general nursing duties as required by the clinic.
