Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional sessions across Fallin. You will support local GP teams with routine nursing duties, chronic disease reviews and treatment room procedures, in well-supported clinics.

The role offers autonomy, diverse sessional work across weekdays, evenings or weekends, and clear clinical protocols to ensure safe patient care within primary care settings.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation or cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Able to work independently in GP settings.
• Familiar with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease reviews.
• Administering immunisations (if trained).
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes.
• Supporting general nursing duties as required.
