Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional primary care clinic sessions across Newent. This role offers structured treatment room and clinical review work within well-supported GP environments, giving you the opportunity to manage routine primary care nursing activity with autonomy and consistency.

You will support local clinical teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings
• Support chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans
• Administer adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)
• Perform smear tests where cytology-trained
• Conduct NHS Health Checks and routine assessments
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes
• Support general nursing duties as required by the clinic
