Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications for an elective and emergency care Ear, Nose and Throat Locum Consultant. The post holder will manage general ENT surgery with a specialist interest in thyroid disease, contributing to the Head and Neck Service and coordinated patient care across adult and paediatric cases.

The role includes approximately 10 programmed activities per week with on-call duties and potential offsite work as part of the Black Country network.

Qualifications

• Experience of conducting clinical audits.
• Ability to use evidence to improve ENT practice.
• Sub-specialty interest in benign head and neck/thyroid surgery.
• Specialist ENT training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for delivering a high-quality ENT service with audit against clinical standards.
• Provide outpatient ENT services including management of suspected Head and Neck cancers.
• Support teaching and training of junior medical staff and students.
• Engage in CME and service development activities.
