The Emergency Department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital is recruiting a locum consultant in Emergency Medicine for a fixed term of 12 months to cover maternity leave.

RBH ED sees over 150,000 patients per year, with around 25% paediatric cases. The department features a paediatric area, a dedicated minor injury unit and a 10-bed older persons assessment unit, with opportunities for teaching and research.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration
• FRCEM
• On the specialist register for EM or within 6/12 of obtaining CCT
• Experience of the whole spectrum of EM including PEM
• Able to abide by the Trust CARE Values; Compassionate, Aspirational, Respectful and Excellence
• Excellent interpersonal skills
