Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust seeks a 12-month locum consultant in the Emergency Department at Frimley Park Hospital. The post covers all ED areas and supports the main ED rota, including evenings, weekends and on-call shifts.

The successful candidate will join a team of 19 WTE consultants and may have a subspecialty interest. FRCEM or equivalent and entry on the UK specialist register are essential requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate own clinical practice.
• Willingness to participate in teaching and audit.
• Understanding of NHS hospital structures and governance.

Responsibilities

• Work across all areas of the Emergency Department at Frimley Park Hospital.
• Support the main ED consultant rota, including evenings, weekends and on-call shifts.
• Possible cross-site working across the Trust's sites, as agreed with Clinical Director.
