Job summary

IMC Locums seeks an experienced echocardiographer to join the cardiology team in Northumbria on a 3–6 month locum basis. The role covers TTE, TOE and stress echocardiography, with high-quality diagnostic reporting and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Applicants should have BSE accreditation or equivalent, substantial echocardiography experience, and proficiency with Philips/GE/Siemens systems. Full-time hours and competitive hourly rates apply, with potential mentoring responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• BSE accreditation or equivalent international qualification.
• Significant experience in echocardiography including advanced imaging modalities.
• Proficiency with leading echocardiography equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret TTE, TOE and stress echocardiography.
• Produce accurate diagnostic reports to support clinical decisions.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols and safety standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff or trainees when required.
