Job summary

IMC Locums is seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join a cardiology team in West Sussex for a 3-6 month locum role. The candidate will perform TTE, TOE, and stress echocardiography, producing high-quality diagnostic reports and supporting clinical decision-making.

The role requires BSE accreditation or equivalent, significant echocardiography experience, and proficiency with leading echocardiography systems.

Qualifications

• BSE accreditation (or equivalent international qualification).
• Significant experience in echocardiography, including advanced imaging modalities.
• Proficiency in using echocardiography equipment and software from leading manufacturers (e.g., Philips, GE, Siemens).

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a range of echocardiographic studies, including TTE, TOE, and stress echocardiography.
• Produce accurate and timely diagnostic reports to support clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with relevant clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff or trainees when required.
