Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a Customer Service Advisor for their Adult Care Teams and the Care & Wellbeing Hub in Lincoln. This 12-week locum placement offers a 37-hour week, 8 am–8 pm, Mon–Fri, with a focus on compassionate, strength-based customer interactions.

You will respond to calls and emails, assess needs, provide information and referrals, and document outcomes using IT systems. Training is provided, and a supportive team environment is promised.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Customer Care or a Service Centre.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Empathy and professionalism handling sensitive inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming telephone and email enquiries regarding Adult Care and related services.
• Engage in strength-based conversations to assess and fulfil customer needs effectively.
• Handle complex, sensitive, and emotive calls with empathy and professionalism.
• Provide information, advice, and appropriate referrals for safeguarding and wellbeing services.
• Utilize IT skills for efficient direct input and documentation of contacts and outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing learning and development to stay updated on the latest practices.
