We are very pleased to invite applications for a Locum Consultant Trauma andOrthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust with asubspecialty interest in general trauma and lower limb surgery. The successful candidatemay be expected to work across the trusts main sites (Barnet Hospital, Chase FarmHospital and Royal Free Hospital), but the base site and trauma activity will be on theRoyal Free Hospital site.This post will join and complement the existing group of orthopaedic surgeons who havea wide range of interests in elective surgery and orthopaedic trauma and aim to expandand develop these services.We are seeking to appoint a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a sub specialistinterest in lower limb surgery. The successful candidate will become part of the 24consultant orthopaedic surgical team. The on-call commitment will be carried out at theRoyal Free Hospital. The majority of the elective work will be carried out on the ChaseFarm Hospital site.We hope that the individual will play an active role in helping to expand the Lower limband Trauma service at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
The post is a full-time Consultant post in Orthopaedics. The on-call commitment will be based at the Royal Free Hospital with the majority of elective sessions carried out at the Chase Farm Elective Orthopaedic Centre. Trauma theatre sessions will be undertaken at the Royal Free Hospitals, along with with regular clinics.The postholder will not be required to attend multiple sites on one given day.
Applicants should possess full GMC registration, and either be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of receiving their Certificate of Completion of Training
