Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS is seeking an experienced plastic surgeon with fellowship in soft tissue sarcoma surgery and reconstruction to join our team at NUH. The post requires GMC registration, FRCS (Plast) or equivalent, and eligibility for the Specialist Register within 6 months of interview.

Applicants should be able to travel between sites and contribute to service development. The role emphasizes high standards of patient care within a multidisciplinary team and requires

Qualifications

• GMC with licence to practice.
• Currently on or eligible to be included on the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
• CCT / Portfolio Pathway registration expected within 6 months of interview date.

Clinical skills / experience

Essential criteria

• Dedicated fellowship in soft tissue sarcoma surgery & reconstruction or equivalent experience.
• Experience of orthoplastic reconstruction in a major trauma centre or Orthoplastic fellowship
• Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, their families and other health professionals

Desirable criteria

• Documented logbook evidence of more than 20 microvascular reconstructions as first operator. (Please upload anonymised pages from logbook with application)
• Documented logbook evidence of more than 10 soft tissue sarcoma resections as first operator. (Please upload anonymised pages from logbook with application)
• Sarcoma MDT
