Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in Glaucoma for a fixed-term (6 months) maternity cover role based primarily at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The position involves managing and developing the ophthalmic service, delivering high-quality patient care, and contributing to training programs.

• Contract: Fixed-term, 6 months
• Hours: Full-time, 10 sessions per week
• Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential): CCT or equivalent, or within 6 months of GMC Specialist Register, FRCOphth or equivalent, Glaucoma fellowship or ASTO.

Experience (Essential): Managing glaucoma and eye conditions, cataract surgery, glaucoma surgeries, ocular trauma, supervising trainees, and peer-reviewed publications.
