An opportunity has arisen for a locum consultant in obstetrics & gynaecology to start from 1st October 2024. It is an interim post initially for 12 months to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will join the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at North Middlesex Hospital, joining 17 other Consultants.
The department is busy and supportive, with a strong commitment to high standards of patient care.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will participate in delivering undergraduate teaching to trainees and medical students. The hospital features a modern Accident and Emergency Department, an active Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, and facilities for minimal access gynaecological surgery, among others.

Responsibilities
This general gynaecologist/obstetrician role involves 8 PAs per week, with duties including on-call responsibilities, antenatal clinics, and potentially developing special interest sessions.
Person specification
Additional requirements include excellent clinical skills, experience with diverse populations, effective communication, and knowledge of clinical governance and audit processes.
