A leading NHS Trust in the UK seeks a proactive and motivated Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join their clinical team. This fixed-term locum position offers a variety of responsibilities, including outpatient care and gynaecological surgery, all while supporting a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. The role is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage and aims to enhance team dynamics and overall patient outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. Our complete commitment to developing careers means we're looking for proactive, motivated, forward thinking, and dynamic individuals to join our clinical team. This is a fixed term locum post to start as soon as possible and ending 31/03/2026. The post is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage and comprises 8.5 - 10 core programmed activities (PAs) and no on call commitment. The scheduled activities include weekend operating. Our gynaecology services include a wide range of gynaecology specialist services including benign gynaecology, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, fertility, emergency gynaecology, early pregnancy care, recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis, gynae oncology, robotic surgery and urogynaecology. The Trust has a comprehensive programme of leadership mentoring available for newly qualified Consultants. Opportunities are also available to other Consultant appointees to play an active part in the programme.
