The Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a Locum Obstetric Consultant to join a team of 27 other Obstetric and Gynaecology Consultants in our busy secondary care Trust.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) is the main provider of acute hospital services for approximately half a million people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and mid Wales.
Our main locations are the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) in Shrewsbury, both providing a wide range of acute hospital services including emergency care, outpatient services, diagnostics, inpatient medical care, and critical care.
Plans are underway to transform local hospital services to ensure high-quality care, secure funding, and develop state-of-the-art facilities at both sites, benefiting staff and patients alike.
A formal job plan will be agreed upon within 3 months of starting, in collaboration with the Clinical Director and colleagues. The full-time plan is based on a 10 PA working week, including clinical work, teaching, research, and managerial responsibilities. The plan is reviewed annually and includes commitments aligned with service improvements and strategic priorities. It typically comprises:
